Cardiology Laboratory
Our Cardiology Laboratory is equipped to diagnose heart problems through the use of EKG-monitored stress tests, echocardiography and nuclear medicine stress tests. Cardiac testing is administered by a board-certified cardiologist and specially trained nurses.

  • Stress Echocardiogram
  • Echocardiogram Adult and Pediatric
  • Transesophageal Echocardiogram (TEE)
  • 4-D Ultrasound

Sleep Lab
Studies show a high incidence of sleep apnea in people with heart disease and that sleep apnea can cause high blood pressure. Designed to help patients with insomnia, sleep apnea, sleepwalking, narcolepsy, restless leg syndrome, and other sleep disorder, the center is a cozy, home-like suite that features advanced computerized equipment to monitor patients overnight.

The Sleep Disorder Center at Valley West conducts sleep studies to diagnose a variety of disorders in adults. The studies are performed overnight using advanced, computerized equipment to monitor the brain as it transitions through the stages of sleep, and to measure the functions of the lungs, heart and other parts of the body.

Testing available at Valley West includes:

  • Polysomnography (PSG)
  • Continuous and Bi-level Positive Airway Pressure titrations
  • Multiple Sleep Latency Test (MSLT) for diagnosis of narcolepsy
  • Maintenance of Wakefulness Test (MWT) to measure ability to stay awake and alert
