At Valley West Community Hospital we know everyone has a talent we can use, and we know there is a place here for them. The Valley West Auxiliary is a group of dedicated men and women who raise money to purchase hospital equipment, and serve as volunteers. The Auxiliary supports one of the community’s most valuable assets—your community hospital. As a member, you will be invited to attend two luncheons each year. To become a volunteer you have to be an Auxiliary member and attend a new volunteer orientation. Contact the Volunteer Coordinator

Big Rock, Bristol, Earlville, Hinckley, Leland, Millbrook, Millington, Newark, Plano, Sandwich, Somonauk, Serena, Sheridan, Waterman & Yorkville
The Auxiliary hosts many fundraisers throughout the year including a christmas bake sale, quilt raffle, gift shop sales, golf outing, theme dinner, annual book fair and other events. The Auxiliary also participates in community projects such as our scholarship program, flu shot and immunization clinic, blood drive, health fair and freedom days and the Sandwich Fair booth.
Volunteers work in the reception area, outpatient clinic, gift shop, emergency room, and do messenger and clerical tasks.
Gift Shop
The Gift Shop, which is operated by the Valley West Auxiliary, is located in the main lobby. The hours are as follows:
Monday through Friday 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Closed on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
